Star Guest Speaker: Hubert Reeves
Hubert Reeves, né le 13 juillet 1932 à Montréal est un astrophysicien, communicateur scientifique et écologiste franco-québécois. Ayant commencé sa carrière en tant que chercheur en astrophysique, il pratique aussi la vulgarisation scientifique depuis les années 1970 et s’avère militant écologiste depuis les années 2000.

L’astronomie contemporaine nous apprend que notre univers a une histoire. On peut l’assimiler à une croissance progressive de la complexité cosmique. Issus d’un magma informe, apparaissent progressivement des structures de plus en plus organisées (atomes, molécules, cellules, organismes vivants). Elles possèdent des propriétés émergentes variées. Hasard et lois jouent un rôle majeur dans leur élaboration. Le créateur artistique (musique, peinture, lettres) s’inscrit dans cette mouvance et y apporte sa propre contribution. Il est « l’artisan du huitième jour » dans cette vaste « aventure cosmique ».
